Audiovisual Production: "We use PSAV a lot. They’re in-house at a lot of hotels. The service that they provide is really great, and they’re very responsive. They also provide audiovisual support for off-site events and meetings.

"Auntie M’s Creative Consultants provided audiovisual equipment for us last year for an event at the Japanese American National Museum. The consultant I worked with was knowledgeable, accommodating, and flexible. We needed an LCD projector last minute when we realized that the one we had wasn't going to work out, so Auntie M delivered the projector as scheduled and I didn't need to panic."Venues: "I like J Lounge. It’s a nice place because it’s something new in downtown. It’s different, with a really nice view, multiple floors, nice decor—very modern look. I also like Elevate and Takami because [the venues are] on the penthouse of an office building with a great view. They have a great menu and cocktails. I especially like their calamari arare, which are calamari covered in Japanese rice crackers, and the shishito poppers, tempura-covered peppers stuffed with spicy tuna."

Flowers: "Athletic Club Flower Shop provided the centerpieces last year for our alumni event. We wanted Asian-inspired centerpieces for the tables and two large ones to place on the buffet stations. They were beautiful, very creative, and exactly what we wanted. [Athletic Club] put together orchids and bamboo in glass vases filled with small pebbles to go with our theme colors."

Catering: "We have a lot of dinners at Zucca, which is part of the Patina Group, because it's within walking distance of our office in downtown and offers Italian food. I like working with the Patina staff; you know you're going to get good service and food."

Gifts: "The Imagination Company used to provide corporate gifts for us. Unfortunately we don't get to go to them as much anymore [because we do gifts in-house now], but they've been great to work with. They come up with great ideas for corporate events and gifts and deliver high-quality products."
