1. Through Sugarbuilt, Amelia Coulter creates artful, intricately iced sugar cookies, often based on decorative art motifs or architecture like the Brooklyn Bridge. Cookie flavors include lavender, chocolate-red chile, bizcochito (anise and cinnamon), and ginger-lemon. Cookies range from $3 to $20 apiece and a minimum of two dozen is required. Custom designed cookies are also available for a $100 fee plus the cost of the cookies.
2. For something lighter, Brooklyn-based Whimsy & Spice makes marshmallows in flavors like chocolate, caramel, cardamom, maple, and lemongrass. Six marshmallows can be packaged with a custom label and ribbon for $4 each. Allow at least two to three weeks lead time for custom orders of quantities of more than 20. Delivery is available throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, and parts of Queens.
3. Andrew Sessa started Bundt: a Bakery in August, providing an array of miniature cakes made with the signature mold. Standard flavors include bourbon-pecan, banana nut, caipirinha sling, chocolate-chile, and lemon zest, and custom flavors are possible, as are icings. Standard cost is about $4 to $5 per miniature bundt cake, and custom packaging is possible. The bakery can also provide a selection of goods such as cookies, brownies, and other varieties of cakes.
4.
