Jewelry was not only the star but also a supporting player at the reopening off the Chopard boutique at Bal Harbour Shops.
The 75 guests could peruse merchandise at the boutique as well as in the front garden, where Chopard shipped in lighted vitrines to showcase key pieces. Replica pieces adorned flower arrangements of white orchids, hydrangeas, and roses.
"We wanted to convey something that is elegant and up to Chopard standards and brand," said Stephen Lalama of Shiraz Events. "[But] we mixed in a little bit of Miami style."
Lalama found inspiration in colors, particularly a rich red velvet. He incorporated it into custom furniture, including the statement piece: a vintage sofa with a white frame and red velvet upholstery that seated up to five people. He reupholstered a vintage bench to match the sofa, and the pieces were paired with rusted white cast-iron tables with vintage marble tabletops.
"It was an elegant look, like you would have this table in your backyard in France," Lalama said. "At night with white flowers and silver flower vases, it was very elegant."
Following the reception, select guests attended a private dinner at St. Regis Bal Harbour's Atlantico restaurant. Always Flowers & Events assembled the look of the evening including linens, candles, and flowers.
