To promote Bliss's new Los Angeles spa in the W Hotel—Westwood (which opened in March), the spa chain sent out a 1966 Volkswagen bus to tour the streets. (We spotted it on Sunset Boulevard heading west into Beverly Hills from West Hollywood.) The van is painted in Bliss's cute, signature style, with long eyelashes over the headlights and slogans on both sides. Stocked with samples of skincare bestsellers like lemon and sage body butter, eucalyptus smoother, foot treatments, and carrot and sesame body buffer, the traveling promotion distributes products around the likes of USC and UCLA, and Lakers games and concerts at the Staples Center. After spending more than two months in L.A., the Blissmobile will head to Dallas (to promote the opening of the spa there in June), and then New York (to promote Bliss's 10th anniversary). Bliss's New York-based publicity manager, Robyn Fishelson, and associate Brooke Temner are overseeing the traveling promotion, and Bliss handled all the design details in house (as is typically its way).
