Charity Luncheon Spells Out Event Message (Literally) on Tabletops
Revlon's annual philanthropic luncheon incorporated a "love" theme in graphic red and white centerpieces.
Revlon hosted its annual philanthropic luncheon at Los Angeles’s Chateau Marmont on September 27, in support of the beauty brand’s Women’s Health Mission. The event honored Dennis J. Slamon, director of the Revlon/U.C.L.A. Women’s Cancer Research Program, and the brand donated $1 million to support his research efforts. The luncheon also served to raise awareness for this year's philanthropic initiatives including Revlon's second annual Love Is On Million Dollar Challenge. And from that initiative came a "love" theme executed in clean, graphic decor.
BMF designed the centerpieces: clean white block lettering spelling out "Spread the Power of Love," with red roses set in black vessels at the base, running the length of long, spare tables. The idea was to infuse Revlon branding into the space in a way that did not detract from the philanthropic messaging.
BMF and Revlon also worked with artist Curtis Kulig to create a work of art displayed on the red carpet in between the traditional step-and-repeat panels; following the event, the piece was taken to be auctioned off in support of Revlon’s philanthropic programs. BMF and Curtis designed the three-dimensional carved “love” photo backdrop and gift bags using Curtis’s signature script.
