TECHNOLOGY: Name Badges in a Flash

July 16, 2001, 12:00 AM EDT

Here's a versatile little machine that can do a lot for meeting and event planners who need to print name badges on-site: The Dymo LabelWriter 330 Turbo printer can print up to 32 four-line labels per minute at 300 dpi, and is compatible with PCs, Macs, Palms and a variety of contact management programs (like Microsoft Outlook or ACT). And it can get even easier: If you pair the printer with the Corex Cardscan machine, you can just stick someone's business card in the Cardscan and a label with the transferred information comes out of the LabelWriter. The 330 Turbo retails for $289.95. --Suzanne Ito
