CHICAGO The Centered Chef, a two-story culinary studio, opened in the West Loop in October. Founded by chef Ryan Hutmacher, the venue has an in-house team of culinary and nutrition experts who lead classes in topics such as “Healthy Cooking 101” and “Comfort Food Makeovers.” Classes take place in the learning kitchen, which can accommodate 60 seated guests or more than 100 standing.
Upstairs, a loft space can seat 140 guests or hold more than 200 for cocktails. The room is available for fashion shows, product launches, and company parties. Outside caterers are welcome to work in the commercial test kitchen; hosts can also opt to have the Centered Chef team prepare health-conscious meals and snacks.
If bought out entirely, the venue can host seated dinners for 190 and cocktail receptions for 300. It also hosts seminars and team-building events related to corporate wellness initiatives. Hutmacher has worked with companies such as Allstate Insurance, GE, and Energy BBDO.
