For more than three decades, Gatti, of Stanlee R. Gatti Designs, has played an integral part in San Francisco’s arts scene—not only planning and designing events for the likes of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, but also supporting and growing those organizations; he helped conceive the annual SFMOMA Fog Art & Design Fair in 2013. Later this year, he will introduce Meraki Market, a curated food market inspired by his childhood in New Mexico, to San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood.

On the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s Modern Ball (pictured, in slide show): “I had many meetings months before the [newly expanded] museum opened, so I watched SFMOMA unpack and install; the silver packing material was both a tribute to that process and to the silver foil of Andy Warhol’s The Factory.”
