NEW YORK Vanity Fair is hosting a special V.I.P. lounge near the 7th on Sixth tents at Bryant Park. Called Atelier Vanity Fair, the space is designed to give specially invited fashion editors, models and celebrities a posh place for breaks between fashion shows (and to promote the glam mag's brand, naturally). Located in a light-soaked loft at 80 West 40th Street, the lounge is being produced by Ted Kruckel's Ted Inc. and catered by Serena Bass Catering.
The mag issued private membership cards to a select group of V.I.P.s to gain entry to the lounge, which is a calming respite from the herds of fashion folks roaming the tents. Decorated with Armani Casa furniture, the calming location offers Beefeater and Stolichnaya cocktails, L'Oreal hair styling products, a live feed of the Style Network's coverage and a great view of the park. The temporary hotspot will also offer a special selection of services including spa treatments, manicures, pedicures and hair styling. (When we stopped by, model Irina Pantaeva was getting her nails done.)Also among the treats: Style Network-branded bags of black and white M&Ms--a fun treat we just wrote about in a Discovery story.
