VENUE: Felidia's New Look

December 3, 2001, 12:00 AM EST

If you're a long-time New Yorker, you may have dined at Lidia Matticchio Bastianich's Felidia on the Upper East Side. Housed in a converted brownstone, the restaurant and its private dining rooms have recently undergone a redesign, and now feature parquet floors, rich mahogany-paneled walls and etched glass windows. One private room can accommodate 12 guests for a sit-down dinner, and a second adjacent room can take another 33. The private areas also offer their own restrooms and a lovely outdoor veranda (especially good if there are smokers in your party). If you'd like to close out the whole restaurant, the space can take 175 for cocktails (and Bastianich's famed cuisine can be served as hors d'oeuvres) or seat 120. --Suzanne Ito
