VENUE: Regal Look at New Ritz

May 13, 2002, 12:00 AM EDT

Midtown has a posh new spot for meetings. On the heels of the Ritz-Carlton New York--Battery Park that opened earlier this year, the upscale hotel chain recently opened a regal-looking outpost on Central Park South. Housed in a building from the 1930's, the Ritz-Carlton New York--Central Park exudes a sophisticated air with classic furniture, dark wood walls and gold accents in the first-floor lobby and bar. The hotel offers 1,400 square feet of conference space, including the Samuel Halpert meeting room, named after the artist whose paintings decorate the space, which can hold 50 for cocktails or seat 40. Two board rooms each seat 16. --Jill Musguire
