CALGARY: This month's edition of the city's Black-Owned Market will be held virtually from Nov. 20-22. The organization creates a platform for Black-owned businesses to showcase their goods and services to the Calgary community. The online shop will have vendors from various categories and will be featured on the event's Instagram account prior to the event.
EDMONTON: Canadian Tire and MHCare Medical have partnered to host the Magic of Lights at the Castrol Raceway Nov. 20 to Jan. 2. The drive-thru event features a 2.5-kilometer trail of light displays and animations. Ticket prices start at $25 and will be sold in advance on the Castrol Raceway website.
MONTREAL: The M for Montreal music festival takes place virtually from Nov. 18-20. The 15th edition of the festival is showcasing a dozen artists in an effort to support the reboot of the music industry. The virtual concert will feature performances from Mac DeMarco, Alex Nicol, and Flore Laurentienne.
TORONTO: Liberty Entertainment Group will host the Holiday Light Tour at Casa Loma Dec. 3 to Jan. 3. The self-guided tour will feature various holiday decorations and lighting displays throughout the historic tunnels and gardens of the castle. Guests can purchase tickets with specific time slots online for $35 a person. Face masks and adequate social distancing will be mandatory throughout.
VANCOUVER: New restaurant Sula Main Street will open Nov. 20 in the former location of The Reef. Owners Sharath Vittal and Nitesh Shetty collaborated with Pacific Solutions Contracting to open a lounge-inspired restaurant with reclaimed wood, brick walls, and antiques. The menu features India-inspired dishes and cocktails.
