NATIONAL: Air Canada's magazine enRoute has announced its top 10 list of Canada's Best New Restaurants. The first place winner, Restaurant 20 Victoria, is located in Toronto and features a bar area for Ă  la carte plates as well as a dining room and patio to enjoy its six-course tasting menu. Montreal's Mastard, the second place winner, showcases Quebec terroir with fresh seasonal ingredients. And the third place winner, Toronto’s Mimi Chinese, features “hyper-regional” renditions of Chinese cuisine. The list was finalized by journalist Nancy Matsumoto, who took a month-long journey across Canada to dine anonymously at more than 30 nominated establishments. The full list can be seen on Canada's Best New Restaurants' website.

OTTAWA: Algonquin College is now accepting applications for its Bachelor of Event, Sport, and Entertainment Management degree, the first Canadian business degree specializing in event management. The program also includes two four-month co-op placements for experiential, hands-on learning, and the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in Ireland. Graduates will go on to have careers in the event tourism industry, or find jobs across special events, corporate, government, fashion, entertainment, and sports.
