Sean “Diddy” Combs’s scheduled appearance at Ibiza nightclub on Thursday evening was enough to create a line around the block before the sun even went down (despite the fact that the event started at 9 p.m., the doors didn’t open until 10 p.m., and Diddy didn’t roll in until 1 a.m.). Sponsored by Combs’s Sean John apparel line, the party celebrated the 25th anniversary of Downtown Locker Room, a chain of Washington urban retail stores.
While the Yeas and Nays columnists originally labeled the event as a fashion show, in reality, it was yet another night out at the club for Combs and his entourage. Coordinated by Sean John’s marketing manager, Erin Hall, the event's decor was bottle-service-oriented, with Sean John and Downtown Locker Room brochures and Combs photos strewn across the V.I.P. tables. The clothing brand did, however, take advantage of Ibiza's gigantic projection screens, running footage from Sean John fashion shows and photos of Bad Boy Entertainment artists.Other sponsors included Absolut’s Level Vodka and Plymouth English Gin. The special guest DJ for the evening was DJ Quick “the Hotboy” Silva.
