Washington Photo Safari is one of the country’s largest providers of travel photography workshops, taking clients around the monuments of the nation’s capital with a professional photographer who shows them how—and where—to take great pictures.
Founded in 1999 by local architectural photographer E. David Luria, Washington Photo Safari has trained more than 11,500 people in the techniques of photo composition, exposure, lighting, and the proper use of their cameras. Their lessons are open to amateur photographers at any skill level, with any kind of camera. Voting with their feet, hundreds of clients have returned for three or four additional safaris.
