The San Francisco Mint Building (SF Mint) is located in the heart of downtown San Francisco on Fifth and Mission streets. A historic landmark, the SF Mint was constructed in 1874 to serve the gold mines of the California Gold Rush and is one of the few buildings to survive the 1906 earthquake. Its Greek revival façade and dramatic entrance stand out against the surrounding San Francisco cityscape and mirror the building’s ornate and expansive interior. This unique building culminates in more than 92,000 square feet and boasts ceiling heights of up to 30 feet. The usable event space totals 52,000 square feet across two floors that are rich with history.
