The Darby boasts a unique ambience reflective of an Old Hollywood glamorous evening out. In New York City's Meatpacking District of New York City, the 100-seat restaurant offers live performances with the full six-piece band and resident house vocalists. Special events are our forte and are managed from flowers to menu design and entertainment. The Darby exhibits a mix of innovative culinary offerings prepared by Food Network Chef Alex Guarnaschelli, a member of the James Beard Foundation.
The Darby reflects the dining experience of New York's 1950s and 60s supper clubs. The design, envisioned by Steve Lewis and Marc Dizon of Lewis-Dizon Design, pays homage to the original incarnation of 244 West 14th Street, from the antique moldings and stage footlights to the nickel-plated “Dia-grid cage” which hovers off the ceilings and walls of the restaurant. The entire concept of the space is based off the notion of Shakespeare’s 'All the world is a stage’.
