Southern Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão opened near the Orange County Convention Center in March. The restaurant’s menu is based on the gaucho tradition known as churrasco, the art of roasting meats over an open charcoal fire. A prix fixe menu offers 15 different cuts of beef, lamb, chicken, and pork carved tableside. There is also a large, four-sided, self-serve bar in the middle of the restaurant offering more than 30 salad and side items. The restaurant is available for buyout and has seating for 400 people. Smaller groups can use one of the five private dining rooms, which can be combined to accommodate 150. Each of the rooms has motorized projection screens, audio and lighting controls, Wi-Fi, and portable projection equipment.

Raga opened September 27 in the former Antonio’s location on Sand Lake Road. The new owners have dramatically renovated the second-floor space to create a sleek atmosphere that complements the menu of Indian and Eastern cuisine. The 8,000-square-foot restaurant has two private rooms, one with seating for 60 people and the other with seating for 70.

The Peabody Orlando has transformed 52 rooms in the Mallard Tower into boutique accommodations dubbed The Loft at the Peabody. The rooms are located on three private-access floors and are equipped with premium blankets, robes, and slippers, and upgraded bath amenities. Loft guests also have access to a private lounge that provides an evening wine reception.
