Japan Society, an American nonprofit cultural institution, offers an oasis of Japanese design and elegance in Midtown. The society's facilities are ideal for conferences, receptions, screenings, workshops, webinars, and other events. Spaces include a state-of-the-art, 262-seat auditorium, a reception room and foyer with views of a bamboo grove and waterfall, and a meeting room and reception area on the skylit second floor. A short walk from Grand Central Station, the building opened in 1971 as the first designed by a leading Japanese architect in New York City.
