Southern Accent Restaurant & Event Catering is situated in a Victorian town house in Toronto’s Mirvish Village on Markham Street (near Bloor and Bathurst) with cozy corners, private rooms and a 1940s bar. Southern Accent has been proudly serving Toronto since 1984.

Over the years our restaurant has perfected the sights, sounds, and tastes of New Orleans with our spicy blend of Cajun/Creole and soul cuisine, zydeco and Louisiana music, and eclectic decor. Our warm hospitality, enthusiastic staff, and unique atmosphere have established us as a destination restaurant and favorite location for events. Every evening, psychic readings are available.

We are known for our romance dining. For very intimate dinners, we suggest one of our cozy “Snugs” — curtained booths with just enough room for two.

Southern Accent Restaurant accommodates as many as 120 sit-down guests (160 when the patio is open) with a wide variety of seating and cocktail options. Midsize parties of 10 to 36 can dine privately in one of five rooms. Group takeover of the entire restaurant gives you a range of options for sit-down or cocktail functions, with a choice of themes, menus, and entertainment.
