OLd: This 400,000-square-foot building, constructed in 1919 as a refrigerated warehouse, was converted to the Washington Design Center in 1982 and is within sight of the Capitol. The complex features more than 50 showrooms for high-end furniture and decor, and draws more than 60,000 visitors annually.
