Launched this month, Second City Neighborhood Tours take groups of 15 to 20 guests on 90-minute walks through Old Town. Chicago tour guide and writer Margaret Hicks penned the script for the outing, which highlights the architecture and history of the neighborhood surrounding the comedy club; tour guides also throw in jokes and share anecdotes about well-known comedians such as Stephen Colbert, Gilda Radner, Joan Rivers, and Tina Fey. Second City company members lead the tours, which begin outside the theater and end in its lobby. Staffers can work with hosts to arrange post-tour cocktail receptions or teambuilding workshops. Tours cost $15 a head and are available through October 4.
