Hill Country is a majestic, bilevel, 11,000-square-foot space with towering, industrial-height ceilings, two full bars, and capacity for 250-plus seated guests and 450 for standing cocktail receptions. The entire space is available for private events. The lower “Club Level” has a stage, state-of-the-art sound and video equipment, and a large bar, and seats 150, with a capacity for 200 for standing cocktail receptions. Additionally, Hill Country has several semi-private alcove spaces for smaller groups of as many as 25 people. Loud, boisterous, fun, and rustic, with long sharing tables and mismatched wood chairs, Hill Country is a relaxed alternative to stuffy corporate event spaces. Country, rock, and blues bands can be booked for any private event.
Taking its “’cue” from legendary Texas barbecue establishment Kreuz Market and its distinctive, dry-rub style, Hill Country’s brisket, sausage, ribs and other meats are smoked low and slow over Texas post oak. The barbecue is served in butcher paper, counter-style by the pound, with traditional trimmings, including updated versions of classic Southern sides and sweets created by Executive Chef Elizabeth Karmel. Hill Country features an extensive menu of longneck beers, tequila, bourbon, and specialty cocktails, an all-Texas wine list and a marketplace full of Lone Star State favorites, such as Kreuz Market sausage, Big Red soda, and Blue Bell ice cream. For large group events Hill Country presents its menu in a variety of service styles: for seated banquets – buffet or family-style, and for cocktail receptions – stationary and/or passed hors d’oeuvres.
