Revelers at Bimini Bay Resort began the New Year in a big Bahamian way with elaborate decor, delicious food, and over-the-top entertainment. As partygoers entered the resort's tent, they were immediately hit with a wall of circus-themed colors. Orange, hot pink, and purple decor and lighting, provided by Karla Conceptual Events, set the tone for the celebration. Each of the tables held clear cylinders filled with water and floating pink flowers and candles.
For dinner, guests enjoyed an extravagant five-course Bahamian-style meal. To begin the feast, the resort served Andros Island stone crab claws, jumbo Gulf shrimp with guava-naise and homemade Bimini cocktail sauce, and winter truffle oil drizzle with gourmet microgreens, followed by creamy conch chowder topped with sherry foam. The main course was a petite filet mignon with a mushroom pinot noir reduction, topped with Bahamian spiny lobster tail and a seafood-infused lemon butter sauce, and accompanied by grilled fresh winter vegetables over a garlic herb-piped potato. Topping off the meal was a make-your-own sundae bar set up inside the tent.Throughout dinner, DJ Rascal and CircX provided a variety of entertainment. Stiltwalkers, dancers, clowns, and aerialists impressed guest with displays of athleticism and comic revelry. Entertainment ranged from the familiar, such as the 11-piece band, to the outrageous, like wandering dancers in large spandex bags.
