Many of the guests were members of local Ducati clubs, and even parked their own Ducati bikes outside the venue before walking the red carpet and posing with Ducati Angelsβmodels dressed in the brandβs signature red and black. Some 150 V.I.P.s (a list created with the help of marketing firm SA Global Plus) were treated to complimentary Italian wines supplied by Simply Great Italian Wines and 24 Sunny Wine, as well as beer from Peroni.
Inside, the Diavel and eight 2011 models of Ducati motorcycles were on display, while Ducati signage and spotlights accented the space. Marketing footage of Ducati bikes in action played on plasma TVs and on a 38- by 18-foot LED wall behind the DJ booth.
Prior to the Diavel's unveiling, entertainment included dance music from DJ Riddler, as well as a juggler and an acrobat performing on a ring suspended from the ceiling, courtesy of event designers Circo Massimo Entertainment.
As he officially unveiled the Diavel, Maurice paid tribute to the loyalty of Ducatiβs fans in attendance and called the new bike a βgame-changer.β
