These local spots offer event space, healing workshops, and spa services for groups.
1. Wicker Park's Ruby Room is a 13,000-square-foot space that its owner describes as a "one-stop-shop spa for the spirit." Features of the venue include six massage and facial rooms and eight overnight guest rooms that are available for corporate retreats. The venue's Healing Sanctuary can accommodate 50 guests for services such as crystal energy healing and handwriting analysis. Corporate wellness classes for as many as 40 guests take place in an on-site yoga lounge. During the warmer months, a garden-like courtyard space hosts speaking engagements and cocktail parties for as many as 50. Ruby Room works with a list of suggested caterers, and the venue can provide healing elixirs and teas.
2. Lakeviewโs bilevel Johnathan Breitung Salon and Luxury Spa offers an upstairs area devoted to hair styling and a lower level where treatments such as massages, manicures, and Botox injections take place. Available for full buyout, the 9,000-square-foot venue can accommodate as many as 100 guests. Each floor offers its own hospitality bar; there's also a full kitchen. Planners are free to bring in caterers of their choice, or the salon's event coordinator can handle staffing.
3. The 15,000-square-foot Chicago location of Mario Tricoci Hair Salon and Day Spa offers 17 treatment rooms devoted to skin, body, waxing, and cosmetic services. A lofted space adjacent to the spa can be rented out for groups of 40 and features a dining area and a couch-filled lounge. King Cafรฉ, a sandwich, salad, pastry, and coffee shop also located within the 900 North Michigan Avenue shopping center, can cater events; planners are also free to choose their own vendors.
