Miami Art Central opened its doors on June 14 to greet guests and volunteers attending an elegant cocktail reception in honor of the Children's Trust's Miami Heart Gallery's opening exhibit. Portraits of foster children in Miami-Dade, shot by award-winning photographers, were the highlight of the night.
Upon entering, guests were greeted with sparkling champagne and led into the gallery to view the photographs. The Children's Trust, an organization focused on improving the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County, enlisted Circle of One Marketing to orchestrate the event and the launch of the gallery, emphasizing the aim of the exhibit, which is to promote adoption.
Inside the gallery, A Fairy's Treat served guests hors d'oeuvres, including pork wasabi and glutinous rice dim sum; grapes rolled in goat cheese and pistachios; lychees filled with chicken teriyaki, almonds, and mint. A flat-screen television and a headset were attached to a solid red wall for guests to view and listen to audio recordings of the foster children up for adoption. As the evening progressed, guests were escorted to the rooftop, where high-top tables were cloaked in simple white spandex and accompanied by arrangements of red roses, bamboo, and palms created by the Flower Bar. The floral arrangements were placed next to the tables, allowing the red of the roses-matching that of the gallery's logo-to contrast with the white tables. Contemporary red couches and smaller white tables added a dramatic accent to the space.
Additionally, the Event Firm draped flowing white linens over the rooftop pillars, further adding to the sophisticated ambience. Food stations were set up to serve gazpacho in mini shot glasses-arranged on a floating display-"Heart-ini" cocktails, and white and sweet potatoes with a selection of toppings.
The Children's Trust exhibit will remain at Miami Art Central through the end of June, before traveling to other sites in Miami-Dade County.
