Exotic Elements Tempt Guests at Dos Equis's Bazaar Noir

At its Miami stop, the beer brand's promotional tour offered wild animals, a peep show, and adventurous catering.

With exotic animals, a peep-show-like live performance, and beer cocktails, the Dos Equis Bazaar Noir entertained about 850 guests at Miami's Grand Central event space.

The August 3 event, produced by Mirrorball, promoted the beer brand through several sensory experiences set in a market-like atmosphere. Vendors served fare from South America, Asia, and a "mystery option" for adventurous guests (it was mini sweet plantain balls stuffed with ostrich meat). Other treats included chocolate-covered scorpions, crickets, and worms.

A voyeuristic entertainment element invited guests to peer through slots in a wall to reveal a mirrored infinity room where costumed dancers performed. Guests could also mingle with exotic wildlife, including gibbon apes.

The seven-city tour began in Los Angeles and also stopped in San Diego, Phoenix, Austin, Texas, Houston, and Atlanta.

A spice alchemist—a combination mixologist and costumed performer—spiked guests’ beverages with color-changing herbs billed as 'remedies.' The event served three beer cocktails: the Dos Arita (Dos Equis lager with 1800 Tequila, sour mix, and triple sec), Michelada (Dos Equis Ambar with tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, hot sauce, chilli powder, and lime), and Dos Sidra (Dos Equis lager or Ambar with Strongbow and Chambord).
