The J.W. Marriott Hotel recently completed the final phase of a $40 million renovation with the debut of two redesigned presidential suites and two additional vice-presidential suites. On the 12th floor, all have access to a 7,000-square-foot terrace overlooking Pennsylvania Avenue, with views of the U.S. Capitol and Washington Monument.
Each of the multiroom suites is more than 1,700 square feet, includes rich gold and platinum decor, and comes equipped with 50-inch flat-screen HD TVs and modern artwork. The presidential suites have white marble and carpeted floors, while the dining rooms are outfitted with conference-sized tables with multimedia capabilities. The largest suite has a custom spa shower and tub with sound and ambient lighting effects.
Owned by Host Hotels & Resorts and managed by Marriott International Inc., the hotel has more than 37,000 square feet of meeting space, including the 14,000-square-foot grand ballroom.
Correction: The original version of this story incorrectly stated that the suites are on the 14th floor.
