Retired agent Norby Walters' "Night of 100 Stars" viewing dinner at the Beverly Hills Hotel's Crystal ballroom had some logistical issues on Oscar night. Some confusion among the check-in staff, who had several different guest lists, sent guests scurrying around the hotel trying to find their places in the press line, cocktail reception, and dining room. Event publicist Ed Lozzi explained that the disorder resulted from the too-small size of the venue: "We've outgrown this hotel, and it will probably be our last year here—but Norby loves this place. Next year maybe we'll go to the [Beverly] Hilton."
