Entertainment Cruises now has a convenient-to-downtown departure point—in addition to the service available from National Harbor in Prince George's County—with trips on the speedboat Seadog leaving from the Maine Avenue Wharf in Southwest. Regularly scheduled and private sightseeing trips from the wharf began last week and suit groups with 20 to 100 guests on the 70-foot vessel. The cruise company, which also operates the larger ships Odyssey and Spirit, offers a 45-minute sightseeing tour down the Potomac River to Mount Vernon and Fort Washington, a 70-minute monument tour of the city’s landmarks, and private charters with selected destinations. Dining possibilities include box lunches or a stop at a dockside restaurant. For groups of 20 or more, ticket prices start at $16 per person.
