London's 300-year-old specialty food purveyors Fortnum & Mason now offer their gourmet gifts throughout the U.S. and Canada. The company, long known as a major European brand, launched a new Web site to serve the North American market. Gifting options include the well-stocked Marylebone Hamper, which contains a selection of premium teas, preserves and marmalades (like the Dark Navy marmalade with rum), fruitcake, olives, a variety of biscuits, nuts, and fruits (baby pears in Calvados, anyone?), comes packaged in a wicker basket and retails for $500. Other offerings range from a high tea gift set (tea, biscuits, fruitcake, and marmalade), a wide selection of fine chocolates, cakes and sweets.
