On June 7 and 8, Domino will host its first "Domino Design District" event in Lincoln Park. Some 40 retailers—ranging from home stores to clothing boutiques and even a chocolate shop—will participate in the shelter magazine's two-day shopping program, which takes place in and around Armitage Avenue. Free and open to the public, Domino Design District will feature in-store seminars from Domino editors, cocktail parties, and giveaways, most of which will be happening this Saturday.
The publication's senior merchandising manager, Adam Roth, said yesterday that the event highlights (and brings to life) the magazine's new "Domino Destinations" feature, which runs almost monthly and features editors' recommendations for shops, hotels, and restaurants in cities ranging from Chicago to Marfa, Texas. The event coincides with a story on Chicago in the June issue.
