Theo Gilbert, the chef at Lakeview's Terragusto on Addison, is now offering private pasta-making instruction for corporate groups of eight to 30. The 90-minute Pasta 101 classes, which cost $55 a head, take place at the restaurant and cover the history of the dish, as well as techniques for preparing flat and shell-shaped noodles. In the $65-per-person Pasta 201 course, guests learn how to prepare more involved dishes, such as gnocchi and polenta. At $75 a head, chef Gilbert can help classes create a four-course Italian dinner that incorporates locally sourced foods. At the end of each session, guests sit down to a communal pasta meal.
