On Monday, an outpost of upscale steakhouse chain the Capital Grille opened in Rosemont. Known for dry-aged steaks, the restaurant also offers specialties such as lobster mac and cheese and Parmesan truffle fries, and staff can create customized a la carte menus for events.
Outfitted with mahogany-paneled walls, brass accents, and portraits of famous Chicagoans such as Louis Armstrong, the 8,095-square-foot venue features three private dining rooms, where seated capacities range from 10 to 32. Each room offers Internet access, and the two larger rooms feature drop-down projection screens with back-lit projectors and DirecTV capabilities.
Available for full buyout, the venue can seat 224; in the warmer months, a patio will provide seating for an additional 40. For smaller groups, a chef's table can hold 10 and provides a view of the restaurant's open kitchen.
