This week's roundup includes a fashion show for dogs in Washington, D.C., casino-theme salads in Chicago, an Illy coffee arcade machine in New York, and Alice in Wonderland cupcakes in Los Angeles.

Children's Place Association's Once Upon a Time Gala

Children's Place Association celebrated its 25th anniversary at the Once Upon a Time Gala, which took place April 16 at Morgan Manufacturing Innovation Lab in Chicago's Fulton Market district. The James Bond-theme event offered guests a casino-theme "Lady Luck Salad." Created by Jewell Events Catering, the salad had a die of watermelon with feta, olive, and cucumber, a die of fontina wrapped in smoked salmon, and a die of cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto.

Fashion for Paws Runway Show

Fashion for Paws' 10th annual runway show took place April 23 at Grand Hyatt Washington. The event, which benefited the Washington Humane Society, had a graffiti dog park theme and featured "fund-raising models" walking fashion dogs down the runway. Design Foundry produced and designed the stage.

Illy's Tribeca Activation

The official coffee of the Tribeca Film Festival, Illy engaged film fans with an "Illy Cup Clutch" arcade claw machine at Spring Studios in New York. The branded machine, which offered guests the chance to score Illy's Art Collection Cups, was decorated with images from the collection and named after the brand's festival tagline, "the Cup with the Cult Following."

Illy also installed an on-site coffee bar, which served festival ticketholders mini lattes, espresso shots, and bottled iced coffee.

Urban Decay's 'Alice in Wonderland' Event
Urban Decay's 'Alice in Wonderland' Event

To celebrate the launch of its new collection in conjunction with Disney's upcoming Alice Through the Looking Glass, Urban Decay hosted an Alice in Wonderland-theme party in Disneyland on April 19. The event featured tea party desserts such as cupcakes with white chocolate butterflies, designed to mimic the butterfly in the film as well as the brand's makeup palette. The desserts were created by the pastry team at the Disney Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

At the launch event, which took place April 13 at New York's 632 on Hudson, attendees could dress in Renaissance-style costumes and pose with live birds for photo ops.
