The ever-popular Pawn Shop welcomed a neighbor in early May. Boutique Bar & Lounge is actually an extension of the kitschy downtown club, with its own entrance and vibe. It can also be used as a private room for Pawn Shop V.I.P.s and celeb guests. The brainchild of Tony Guerra (formerly of Amika, Crobar, and Opium) and owner/general manager Kurt VanNostrand (of B.E.D. Miami fame), Boutique has a Prohibition-era feel. Chocolate-colored walls, wood accents, ultra-suede furnishings, bronze tables, and vintage mannequin forms give the space a sophisticated feel. An 8- by 12-foot stage area can be used for live performances, and projection screens and full audiovisual capabilities are available for presentations. The capacity is 200 to 250 people reception-style or 150 seated, and buy-outs are welcome. —Vanessa Goyanes
