AFR Event Furnishings asked local event designers to create concepts that incorporated its furniture for a competition dubbed "The Design Challenge" on August 30 at Gulfstream Park. The challenge was part of AFR's annual networking event for clients and industry members, and provided exposure for the design firms and a fun way for AFR to show off its wares.
Ines Naftali of Ines Naftali Floral & Event Design Studio won the challenge with a garden-romance-themed concept. Naftali used a V.I.P. cabana, table, benches, among other furniture accents and pieces.
AFR also upped the number of local caterers offering dishes this year. A Joy Wallace Catering Production & Design Team, Toss Catering, and Catering Concepts each supplied menus for the event.
