With a total of 23,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, and six distinct private areas, Trio on the Bay is a versatile new option for events in the North Bay Village area of Miami.
The restaurant-nightclub-event space opened earlier this month, under the watch of three food, beverage, and nightlife professionals with more than 50 years of experience among them. According to general manager Louie Spetrini, the concept for Trio on the Bay is to provide "unobtrusive white-tablecloth" service and combine daily dining, weekend nightlife, corporate events, and private parties.
The main dining room can seat 200 people, while the patio—with its own waterfront bars, cabanas, fire pits, and postcardlike views of Biscayne Bay—has seating for 140.
Inside, private rooms include the Bay front room and main room, which each seat 50; the intimate Blue Crystal Room, which seats 45; and the private dining room, which can accommodate 14. The front bar of the restaurant seats an additional 50 guests and is suggested for cocktail hours.
Rooms can be combined to cater for larger groups, with Trio on the Bay able to host as many as 1,000 guests for cocktail parties, 500 for buffet receptions, and 300 for seated dinners.
The catering division is helmed by chef Klime Kovaceski, who specializes in New American cuisine with a Mediterranean flair. His signature dishes include pecan-crusted trout, roasted maple leaf duck, and a seafood risotto. Catering packages include a $40-a-head set menu selection and a chef's tasting menu for $50 per person. The chef can also create custom menus upon request.
Trio on the Bay's audiovisual and lighting equipment includes an EAW sound system, the use of cordless microphones, a Martin Intelligent lighting system, and 22 high-definition plasma screens which can be used by clients for corporate signage. Laser lights and a 2,000-square-foot dance floor round out the entertainment menu.
Parking at Trio on the Bay is also geared toward event planners: The venue sits on a parking lot that can be used for outdoor tenting, branding, and additional production.
