The Westfield Marriott in Chantilly, Virginia, initiated a new activity option for planners, with customized packages that can include Wii bowling games or golf outings to help break up a day's worth of meetings. The hotel, seven miles from Dulles International Airport, introduced these gaming selections in March, and charges a base rate of $350 for the package. (Final pricing is determined on size, setup, and the specifics of each event.) Groups can break up into teams to play on eight large projector screens, or a play area of 10 smaller plasma screens can be installed.

Another new program is offered at the nearby Hoop Magic facility, which works with the Westfield Marriott to coordinate sports lessons and activities like indoor soccer, volleyball, yoga, and table tennis.
