Veering away from a traditional (read: unstylish) trade show, Business Journals' Accessories the Show and Moda Manhattan trade shows for the fashion industry and retailers added panache with colorful and stylish show accessories and decor that complemented the spring and summer apparel and accessories on display.
David Vodola Design created bright and colorful floral arrangements in the shows' registration area, and attendees had their choice of colorful, striped canvas media bags accented with sequins and fringe—a stylish and reusable alternative to the standard plastic bags—from show vendor Sasha Handbags. Slim flip-style notebooks from Printech served as Moda Manhattan's show guide, and offered a page for note-taking opposite each vendor's information page.
Janet Racy created colorful staged vignettes with mannequins displaying vendor's items. In one area, Racy played off the Accessories the Show's green-and-white signage by staging bathing suit-clad mannequins on chaises atop green-and-white platforms scattered with accessories.
