Brooklyn Brewery’s multi-city beer festival returned to Brooklyn April 13 and 14. The event took place at the Weylin, which was lighted in the brewery’s signature green color and featured a projection of the brewery's “B” logo. Brooklyn Brewery produced the event in house.
The inside of the venue was illuminated in green, purple, and pink, which enhanced the existing architecture of the venue, which formerly was the Williamsburgh Savings Bank. Bands performed at a stage that featured a rainbow version of the brewery’s logo against a black backdrop.
Photo ops included a customized, Game of Thrones-inspired wooden “throne” where guests could pose with a glow-in-the-dark crown.
Earth Day Initiative, a nonprofit that engages people in sustainability initiatives year round, and Weaving Hand, a sustainable weaving art studio, hosted an interactive zero-waste weaving art installation at Earth Day New York events in Union Square Park April 15. Passersby were invited to participate in the project, which involved weaving used clothing and textiles onto makeshift looms that were made out of six rolling racks arranged in a circular fashion. H&M sponsored the installation and donated used clothing and textiles the company has collected through its garment collection initiative. The installations were donated to Earth Day Initiative.
Wine brand Meiomi celebrated the launch of its new rosé April 11 at a private townhouse in Greenwich Village in New York. Misty Copeland, a principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre, posed in front of a branded floral wall of roses and succulents, created by Ellen Robbin Creative.
For a unique event awards idea, the inaugural BET Social Awards gave out awards shaped like oversize hashtags to winner including comedian Jess Hilarious. The event, which celebrated the most memorable social media moments of 2017, took place in February at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.
Mint Julep Month, a marketing campaign from Garden & Gun, Maker’s Mark, and the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau, kicked off April 8 with a Southern-Inspired brunch at Gramercy Park Hotel in New York. A wall of greenery studded with Maker's Mark bottles served as a backdrop for photos.

The Egg House, an egg-theme pop-up exhibit created by a group of recent New York art school graduates, opened at a vacant space in the Lower East Side April 7 and runs through June 27. One of the first photo ops in the space features a neon sign with the name of the pop-up against a yellow and green backdrop. Guests can pose in front of the sign with yellow balloons that are placed in front of hanging pieces of cotton. The balloons against the cotton are meant to resemble sunny-side up eggs.
A ceiling installation was created with pink spatulas and whisks, familiar tools to anyone who cooks with eggs.
