3-D Projection Brings Hollywood Hotel to Life for 'X-Men' Party

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment feted the Blu-Ray and DVD release of X-Men: First Class on Thursday night with a dramatic transformation of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel using a massive 3-D projection by Pearl Media. Guests and passersby witnessed what appeared to be the Roosevelt freezing, melting, becoming covered in fur and scales, withstanding a tornado hit, and mutating into the shape of the X-Men symbol—no 3-D glasses required. Utilizing proprietary, high-powered projectors, Pearl Media mapped its 3-D projection to the contours of the Roosevelt, inside which Night Vision Entertainment produced a party to mark the debut.

David Stark also created unique centerpieces for the 2018 Robin Hood benefit, also held at the Javits Center. The event, which had a “Lights of New York” theme, featured three-sided mini marquee centerpieces that offered messages of gratitude and celebrated the organization's anniversary.
