8 Tabletop Design Ideas for a Mother's Day Luncheon

However you're celebrating the upcoming holiday—whether over Zoom or in person—make it an occasion to remember with a thoughtful tablescape.

Ashton Pike
May 6, 2021

Even if it's done over Zoom, holiday gatherings among family can still feel intimate with homey elements like a perfectly set table. Whether you're the type to do it up big or keep it simple, snag some inspiration from past events to bring back to your own tablescape.

From Bluebird Productions, an event-planning firm based in Aspen, Colo., is 'Bluebird in a Box.' Officially launched last fall, the company offers a variety of seasonal 'event kits' with various themes such as 'Squeeze the Day' (pictured)—which features, you guessed it, lemonades. The kits are primed for virtual Mother's Day gatherings, with the ability to send one to family members to set up at their own homes–leaving a spot on the table for the laptop, of course! In each box, hosts will find menus with recipes and shopping lists, paired cocktail ideas, customized playlists, style guides, timelines and checklists, decor and styling tips and suggestions, entertainment ideas, etiquette advice, and editable printables for invitations, menus, place cards and more.
