This year's U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association Ball benefit at the Hammerstein Ballroom kept the decor simple, but not the entertainment.
The sparse decor was predominantly white to evoke snow, a natural fit for the group of Olympic-hopeful skiers and snowboarders that plans events around the country to raise money for its athletes. Musters & Company created white tabletops with white gerbera daises and white votives floating in glass fishbowls for centerpieces. Musters also covered each tallboy bar table on the mezzanine with white linen stitched onto a blue or silver spandex base, calling to mind snow-peaked mountains.
The Catering Company's hors d'oeuvres included herbed crepe bundles filled with Thai vegetables, miniature lobster club sandwiches with crispy bacon and basil and tandoori chicken with cumin-scented yogurt on flatbread. The servers offered the food on trays topped with shiny colored paper surrounded by clear, jagged pebbles that looked like ice. During cocktails, the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team athletes were on hand to sign autographs for guests.
The three-course dinner—teriyaki-seared scallops with watercress, grilled filet of beef with Bordeaux-infused jus and pear tart with whipped cream and nutmeg—preceded a musical performance by Sheryl Crow produced by the WhiteLeaf Entertainment Group. Flying Ace Productions, a troupe of Olympians who perform acrobatic trampoline stunts, entertained guests to conclude the evening.

For the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association Ball at the Hammerstein Ballroom, The Catering Company decorated the hors d'oeuvres trays with shiny, brightly colored paper and surrounded the food with clear, jagged pebbles resembling ice.

Musters & Company used floating white gerbera daises and white votives in glass fishbowls for the table centerpieces.

WhiteLeaf Entertainment designed the evening's lighting, which included the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team logos projected on the stage.

Members of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team signed autographs for guests before dinner.
