A ballroom in the Oregon Convention Center was transformed into a park-like atmosphere. At the entrance to the event, an on-theme “bulletin” detailed Comcast’s achievements and philanthropic initiatives from the past year. It was surrounded by rocks, branches, and pine trees.

The event was designed to feel like a trip up a mountain, with different areas that evoked a colder vibe as guests ventured further into the event. First up was the Base Camp area, which had food stations and various rustic seating areas surrounded by more pine trees.

In the Base Camp area, father-and-son team Tyler and Kevin Strauslin of Oregon 3D Art offered live chainsaw carving demonstrations, creating six original pieces during the four-hour event. A finished piece was presented to Comcast as a thank-you.

Further into the event was the Timber Mountain Lodge, which had an entry arch with stone bases as well as a 20-foot-tall octagonal fireplace with faux fire.

Throughout the ballroom, two photo booth setups from Paparazzi Tonight depicted mountain scenes during various seasons. Nearby tents served as dress-up stations, where guests could don fake beards, plaid scarves, shirts, hats, and other props.

Another area of the room held a ski-shop theme arcade, which had a custom-built entry. Gaming options included a “Yeti Shooter” game.

The Aurora Lounge was designed to feel like the “coldest” area of the event. Really Big Video used projection mapping to display the Northern Lights on the walls, and glowing LED tables and pillows added on-theme touches. Heart Beat Silent Disco supplied silent disco headphones.
