Tomorrow the musical stage adaptation of the film Billy Elliot—a huge success in London—begins preview performances on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre. The director of the film, Stephen Daldry, along with writer Lee Hall, choreographer Peter Darling, and pop star Elton John created the theatrical version, which tells the story of a working-class boy who chooses ballet over boxing. The London show garnered four Olivier awards in 2006, including Best New Musical and Best Theater Choreography. Parties of 20 or more may contact Telecharge group services for tickets.
