Here’s a new way to dress up a stage, add a logo to a product display, or—in our case—commemorate an anniversary. New York and Miami-based Shiraz Events is now offering laser-cut decor pieces in custom shapes. Shiraz (which is also marking its 10th anniversary) creates the designs, and production firm Spoon Group fabricates the stand-up structures with a CNC router, a cutting tool that works from computer-generated files. The process typically takes a week or two from conception to completion. Uplighting can add to the drama, as it does here, lit by Power Posse Productions and photographed at the Glass Houses in New York.
