


Stephanie Goto also skipped a centerpiece, instead creating what she called a "chan-dine-lier." Designed to feel like dining inside of a chandelier, the quirky table was encircled by fluorescent PVC strips. Inside, a circular bench surrounding the table was interrupted every few feet with a 2-D cut-out of a seated person.Â






Calabasas, California-based Wax Creation makes colorful wax models of hands that serve as interactive party decor or favors. Guests dip their hands into the liquid wax to create an impression, which dries in a few minutes. Wax Creation also offers a candle-coloring activity for holiday events, where guests can dip and color their own custom candles. The company services events throughout California and Nevada; it also recently launched an east coast branch that serves Florida. For events in the Los Angeles area, Wax Creation charges $595 for two hours of activity, which includes unlimited hands, delivery and pick-up, and two attendants.

On October 19, a launch party for the official partnership between Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, Starwood Preferred Guest, and Major League Baseball took place at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. The event offered personalized baseball caps as swag. DKC Incite produced the event.

The dating and networking app’s sprawling SXSW space was split into three sections reflective of the different uses. Each had its own corresponding color theme, but were united by honeycomb details and sleek fonts, built out by design company Preacher. Production company Pen and Prue Productions produced the event.

To emphasize the store aspect of Gatorade’s SXSW activation, the doorway was plastered with grocery store signage promoting the company’s sports drinks and foods. The overall space design and buildout was by MKTG and the backroom concept by VML.

Floating above Under Armour’s domed space were moving red and white sphere lights.

Warner Bros. and creative agency Giant Spoon drew inspiration from the 1980s and video games for the activation for the feature film Ready Player One. The entry tunnel featured a mirrored tunnel with neon lights, a wall of glowing cassette tapes, and 1980s props like a giant bust of the Iron Giant and the DeLorean, as well as a replica of the floating disco with mirrored floors.
