New York's floral design elite showed off some incredibly beautiful and creative displays at the Horticultural Society of New York's Flowers & Design: New York in Bloom, Celebrating Our Roots benefit in the atrium of 590 Madison Avenue and the Sony Plaza Atrium. The fund-raiser, which invited 46 event, floral and interior designers to create a banquet table or floral display--akin to Diffa's annual Dining by Design event--featured works ranging from an upside flower garden from David Beahm and a tropical birds' nest with live finches from Marc Blackwell to more traditional, flowery pieces from DeJuan Stroud and Belle Fleur. The event was organized by the society's special events director Cathy Knowles.
